Diaper bag or no diaper bag... that is the question

umm i was adding images to my post and then they both just disappeared ..... so if it posts and you are reading the following again... i am sorry but as per usual i do indeed repeat things A LOT... just ask my friends!!

so here it goes... i am working on this alchemy request for this super nice girl in the u.k and i thought i would share the progress!!

So I have been trolling the internet, digging up helpful hints and experienced sellers to glean any tidbit of marketing information I can.... and it is a process....

On another note... My purse for myself is coming along Rawther slowly but steadily... i will post some pictures as soon as Squishy remembers where she snuck my camera off to....

The diaper bag for Darling Treasures is coming along and it is almost done and I might shed a tear of joy when it leaves the proverbial station!! Ditto with the pics....

I hope that is the first of a long list of Alchemy requests... I really enjoy having someone at the other end of the project....

Hooray... I get at least 3 hours to myself today... the girls and the M&M (my darling husband) are going to the movies... I wonder if I can talk them into lunch and a trip to the museum too...

oh... I have to titles these things too

I got on my blog this morning and saw I had 2 count them 2 followers!! couldn't believe it... how in all of the internets did I .... the lowly newbie got 2 followers... so i clicked on them ... and realized with joy and sorrow that they were my 2 best friends....

I feel kind of like a luddite these days... I am not sure about the tweeting thing... although i DO have 2 followers that are not my friends... hmmm maybe i should tell them about my blog and then i could have 4 whole followers... then i will be on my way to ruling the world... bwaahahaahhhaaa

anyway back to the luddite-E-ness.... i went to check out new cell phones the other day (since mine has not worked in 6 months) and the nice guy started asking me about iphones and pda's and data plans and texting and this and that... so i said
"I don't want to text ... EVER... he has an iphone (pointing to michael) and i hate that damn thing...
to which the nice guy responded with utter amazement and disbelief "OH"
then i said...
"this is what i like... i like automatic cars ... that when you put the key in them ... they go!! and i want a phone that has an alarm and calls people!! and this is what i like.... no zippie, flippy, slide-y things ..... But i really would like to see the time on the front though

i have been called "high maintenance" by some people in the past ... but when it comes to gadgets and gizmos... i want what i wanted in my wedding dress when the nice lady at the she-she boutique said after i decided on a dress in 20 minutes that i saw in a magazine... wouldn't you like to try on some more things... what kind of things do you like?
I said... well i don't really know what i like BUT i'll tell you what i don't like...
I don't want lace, pearls, sparkly things, rosettes, things that make me look like a cupcake, beading, netting, ribbons, tulle, no halter tops or squared off tops at the base of the neck...and other stuff like that...
so she came back with 4 dresses... out of the hundreds of couture dresses she had "in the back"
and i tried them on reluctantly and they weren't right...
I tried on the dresses and the only one i still remember is this little number with a drop waist and cap type sleeves... it was a christian dior and it had a big rose on it but on the hanger it looked like maybe i would really like it... then i put it on.... and well it looked like i was going to my first communion ... so i went with the one i saw in the magazine and tried on when it didn't zip up in the back.... diamond white satin... obi style train in the back ... simple, elegant, beautiful!

Anyway... back to the poor man at the cell phone store ... when i finished ... he smiled and said "well then you really want that side of the store"

so there you have it... i have all this technology and am struggling to use it... part of me thinks i am struggling because really ... who would want to hear my ramblings... i don't use punctuation... like i said before i ramble .... and i am generally an in person or on the phone with real voices and inflections type of girl...

but part of me ... seems to like it... and i wasn't expecting that!!

I realized today while picking up some fabric ..... I am a total dork.....
A woman in line behind me complemented me on the choice of fabrics i had and asked what i was going to make with it...

I said.... with a little bit of clenched stomach...... but bravely ... a purse... I make purses and clothes and chilrens stuff and home things like drapes and pillows ...
I believe I ran off at the mouth a little but I just had to get it all out there .....

She ooooo'ed and awwwww'ed and then I noticed it... she was looking at my purse!! you know the one i take with me .... i throw about .... the one that has the annoying zipper pockets and is made out of red satin... yes that one... the one that my little 5 year old darling got something on and it won't just go away!! One that I bought at a store... and I don't mean my etsy store!!!

So instead of concentrating on the fact that I make purses and I don't actually HAVE one of my own purses .... I quickly dug my hand past the annoying zipper and pulled out a couple of business cards.... AND she was excited to take them!!!

I don't know if she has visited my site but it certainly kicked my derriere right home to work on a creation all my own!!

I never thought I'd have a blog

Well here it goes...
